Schedule & Call Work Schedule:
Currently 9 week blocks, during that week you will work:
2 weeks of 24/7 call starts on Tues AM and ends on Tues AM
4 weeks Tue - Fri 10hr shifts (0700 - 1700)
3 weeks off
Must Take Call
Would consider 2 on 2 off, preference is full time
All below are 7 am shifts

On-Call & Emergency Procedures:
Call is from home, call back 30min, back-up is generally available
Call Volumes - Average call back is approx 10hrs/week but is variable
Licensed providers highly preferred
General mix, Ortho, ENT, Endo, GYN, OB
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Preferred (not required) certifications: ATLS, ALSO, NRP, STABLE.
DEA -not required
**Certs must be through the American Heart Association
Facility Size - 25+ bed (critical access) hospital.
ED is a Level IV Trauma runs 24hrs
CRNA only model; all CRNAs practice independently and automously; no MDAs
Will the CRNA provide services to adults and pediatrics? Both - Well peds only (ENT, minor ortho, dental)
How many cases do you perform weekly? Approx. 30 cases/week
Specialties Serviced by Anesthesia:
Surgical Specialties: ranked from most common to lease - endo, general surgery, ortho, ENT, podiatry, OB/Gyn, Dental; no planned high risk cases; 95% bread/butter
OB Anesthesia:
-OB labor epidurals/scheduled c-sections/rare emergent c-section; approx 8 deliveries a month with about 70% epidural rate; low risk deliveries only
What anesthesia is used for labor, delivery, and C-sections? Labor epidurals/spinals
Pain Management & Nerve Blocks:
Do you perform nerve blocks or chronic pain procedures? What types of blocks are commonly required? Interscalene, supraclavicular, axillary, Fascia Illiaca, femoral, PENG, adductor canal, popliteal; no chronic pain procedures; flexible regarding block experience
Scope of Practice in ICU:
-We do provide assistance with intubations on floor/code response, occasional blocks/sedation in ED for procedures, flexible regarding central line placement/experience
Emergency response:
-Do CRNAs respond to codes blues, rapid response calls, etc? Code Blues /Traumas only
On-Call & Emergency Procedures:
-Call is from home, call back 30min, back-up is generally available
Average call back is approx. 10hrs/week but is variable
Mix of cases: Generals, sedation, epidurals, spinals. Support ED/Floor with codes/intubations.
Must feel comfortable with independent practice. Critical access hospital with 2 OR and procedure suite. Island with nearest transfer facility approx. 3 hrs away by plane.
