Anesthesiology
CRNA – $450k+ per year for full-time
Job description
Top Highlights:
• Jobs available in Connecticut with a variety of scheduling options – full time or part time (as little as 1–2 weeks/month)
• Full time (40 hrs/week) 1099 positions pay $450k+ per year
• Schedule flexibility to work around your life and other commitments (none of the nonsense of getting called in on your day off)
• Many sites open to licensing in surrounding states – I can help with the licensing process
• Variety of cases depending on facility
• Some jobs with supervision, some allow the CRNAs to practice independently – I’ll match you with what you prefer
• Most assignments have paid travel & lodging, and all assignments include malpractice with tail coverage
Why CRNAs love 1099 income:
• Higher earning potential – no income cap and often higher rates than W-2 positions
• Keep more of your pay – you control how much goes to taxes through deductions and tax planning
• Write off legitimate business expenses like travel, meals while on assignment, scrubs, CMEs, boards, licensing, cell phone, and more
• No mandatory PTO approval – take time off whenever you want between contracts or we can block off dates ahead of time and you will not get scheduled
• Geographic freedom – work in different states and explore new cities
• Build your own benefits – select the retirement plan, health insurance, and disability coverage that works best for you (often with tax advantages)
• Potential to earn significantly more than permanent staff while still controlling your workload
• Great option for those planning semi-retirement – you can keep working at a reduced schedule and still earn a strong income
• Independence – you’re essentially your own boss
LET'S THINK LONG GAME HERE - RETIREMENT INCENTIVES AS A 1099
• Maximize retirement savings – as both the employer and the employee in a 1099 setup, you can contribute far more than in most W-2 jobs. You can put in up to $23,500 as the employee (plus catch-ups if over 50), and your business (the LLC or S-Corp you create for your 1099 work) can add up to 25% of your compensation as the employer. That’s a combined total of up to $70,000/year, or as high as $81,250/year with catch-ups – all tax-advantaged.
