Work Details:

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, ongoing coverage

Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics (90%+ over age 12)

Facility: 378-bed hospital

Operating Rooms: 17 Main ORs, 7 DSC, plus specials, cath labs, endoscopy, and radiology suites

Trauma Level: Level II Trauma

Practice Model: Supervision-based anesthesia, max 4:1 ratio (no independent cases unless working at sister campus with OB)

Case Types:

General surgery, orthopedics, spine, craniotomy, gynecology, plastics, thoracic (lungs), healthy pediatrics, ophthalmology, GI, structural hearts, EP, endoscopy, interventional radiology, MRI

No: Burns, transplants, open heart, sick pediatrics, or OB

Procedures:

Spinal blocks (required)

Occasional arterial lines (optional)

No: Epidurals, central lines, regional anesthesia/blocks performed by CRNAs
