CRNA Needed in KY (will license) - OB ONLY

Location: Owensboro, KY

Start: June

13-week with the option to extend

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month: Monday-Thursday, needing 3 CRNAs, doing OB. Friday needs 3 CRNAs. Shifts are 8/10/12 hours.
• Frequency of any Call needed: not provided

• Schedule Details: Monday-Thursday, needing 3 CRNAs, doing OB. Friday needs 3 CRNAs. Shifts are 8/10/12 hours.

• Support staff: 8 anesthesiologists, 32 current CRNAs, care team, supervising physicians (except in endo cases, those are independent).
• Department Description: Level 1 trauma center. There is a specialized CV team so they don’t need to see those cases but have every other surgical subspecialty. Ratio of MD to CRNA: 5:1. No CT surgery requirements or expectations. No Transplants. No sick peds. 100% OB.
• ASA range 1-5. Most patients ASA 3-4. Will be expected to function independently in endoscopy as this is QZ.
• Lead CRNA/Call MD available for consult.
• CRNA’s can practice to full scope of their practice at OHRH. MDA typically does pre-op but CRNA expected to do own pre-op to keep things moving if MDA has not done so yet.
• The OR model is a supervision model. MDA main function is for pre-ops/blocks/PACU. You should anticipate inducing patient independently and maintain appropriate anesthesia and emergence. Covering MDA/CRNA available for assistance.
• Should expect to cover the entirety of your shift that has been agreed upon
• Patient Volume: high case volume, numbers vary
• Number of Rooms: 2 endo (function as QZ), 2 cath, 1 OB
• Patient Age Group: healthy pediatrics all the way through geriatrics
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: epidurals, pain management, spinal taps

Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: NBCRNA preferred
• State License(s) / IMLC Req’d?: KY
• Certifications Req’d?: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• DEA Req’d?: Yes
• Minimum Experience Req’d: 2 years preferred but new grads are accepted.

Privileging Timeframe: 30 days

Willing To License?: prefers licensed but IMLC could work
IMLC Accepted?: Yes
