Locum Anesthesiologist – Full-Time Coverage (Jan–Apr 2026, California)

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist with an active California license to provide full-time coverage from January through April 2026 during a physician leave of absence. The position offers a diverse case mix, with approximately 14,300 annual anesthesia cases, including ~9,000 surgical, 2,500 obstetrics, 800 cardiac, and 2,000 out-of-OR cases in GI, cath lab, and interventional radiology. Acute pain training or experience is a plus. The anesthesiologist will work alongside CRNA colleagues as peers, without direct CRNA supervision, but will be responsible for supervising residents and medical students in a clinical teaching environment. A clean background is required, and credentialing typically takes 60–90 days. Candidates must clear name submission prior to being considered.
