Anesthesiology MD | Ortho & Spine Focus | No Call or Weekends | IL

Job description

A facility is seeking a locum tenens Anesthesiology MD for weekday coverage with a focus on orthopedic and spine procedures. The position follows a collaborative care model with 1 MD and 3 CRNAs. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with cases potentially starting at 6:00 AM; compensation begins at clock-in.

The annual case volume is approximately 3,700 and includes general orthopedics, joint replacements, and spine surgeries. The EMR system used is Medaxion.

Candidates must be proficient in a wide range of regional anesthesia techniques including brachial plexus spinals, spinal, interscalene, adductor, and popliteal blocks. Required certifications include ACLS (AHA only), BLS, and PALS. An active Illinois medical license and DEA are also required.
