Anesthesiologist Needed in Michigan – Call + OB Epidurals – Starting July

Job Description:
An 81-bed hospital in Michigan is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum assignment across 12 designated weeks between July 21 and December 28. This position includes both weekday hospital coverage and pager call. The role consists of performing pre-ops, supervising CRNAs, running the board, and handling in-room anesthesia only for OB epidurals, emergencies, or if called in while on pager. Volume includes ~3,100 annual cases: General, Ortho, OB, GYN, Ophthalmology, Endo, Podiatry.

October 13–19, 27–Nov 2

November 10–16, 24–30

December 8–14, 22–28

📆 Schedule & Call Details:

Monday–Friday (On-Site): 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may end early)

Monday–Friday (Call): 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM pager – very low call-back

Weekend Pager: 24-hour call (7:00 AM Sat – 7:00 AM Sun & Sun–Mon)

Perm MD typically relieves locum early Sunday evening

Charting: Paper (no EMR)

Support Staff: 2 MDs total (1 onsite), 4 CRNAs

Skills Required: Blocks, Epidurals, Spinals – no exceptions

Supervision: CRNAs in room; MDs supervise and assist when needed

• Scheduled Weeks: July–December (12 total weeks)
• Mix of OR Supervision, Pre-Ops, and OB Epidural Coverage
