Anesthesiologist Locum Position in North Carolina | NO Call

Western NC – Anesthesia Locum Position
Start Date: December 1, 2025
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Location: Hospital setting

Schedule & Coverage
• Scheduled shifts, no call required
• Monday–Friday, shift lengths 8s, 10s, and 12s
• Occasional weekend coverage (optional)

Case Load & Mix
• Average CV cases per day: 10–15
• Average general cases per month: 3,500–4,000
• Busy OB, trauma, designated stroke center, vascular, neuro, urology, orthopedics
• Must be able to perform peripheral nerve blocks
• Special Procedures: General, Ortho, Endo, Urology, GYN, Robotics, Neuro/Spine, very limited Peds
• No craniotomies or transplants; dedicated teams for trauma and cardiac, with some potential vascular cases

Team & Support
• Care Team Model: Typically 1 MD supervising 3–4 CRNAs
• Anesthesia tech support available
• EMR: Cerner and AIMS
• MDs may choose to work their own cases if preferred

Travel
• Travel and lodging covered

Requirements
• Active North Carolina medical license (required)
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology

• 6 months ongoing assignment
• Monday–Friday, shift lengths 8s, 10s, and 12s
• Cases: General, Ortho, Endo, Urology, GYN, Robotics, Neuro/Spine
