Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Richmond, VA
Ongoing Assignment | Travel & Lodging Covered

We are currently seeking a board-certified Anesthesiologist for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in Richmond, Virginia. This position is ongoing and offers an ideal schedule, excellent facilities, and full coverage for travel and lodging expenses.

Position Details:
Start Date: ASAP

Commitment: Ongoing

Schedule: Preferably 7 days on / 7 days off

Call: Yes – In-house, 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Location: Richmond, VA

Facilities: Two large hospitals offering a wide range of anesthesia services

Case Types:
All case types, including:

General Surgery

Obstetrics (including C-sections)

Endoscopy

Interventional Radiology

Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

MRI procedures

Physicians perform their own cases approximately 40% of the time

Facility Highlights:
Level I Trauma Center

Specialized cardiac hospital on site

Dedicated psychiatric pavilion

8 Main ORs, 3 Second Floor ORs, 4 Cardiac ORs

Additional locations include endoscopy suites, OB, EP labs, and radiology

Team & Systems:
Care team model: Typically 1:4 MD to CRNA ratio

EMR: Medaxion (iPad-based system)

Orientation and training provided on-site and via app

Compensation & Logistics:
Rate: $350/hour

Travel & Lodging: Fully covered (lodging, rental car, flights; must submit receipts)

No per diem/meal allowance per policy

Requirements:
Must be Board Certified in Anesthesiology

Virginia license required or willing to obtain

ACLS/BLS/PALS not specified but may be preferred

Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a high-quality provider with strong experience and availability. New grads and board-eligible physicians will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
