Anesthesiology – Locum Tenens Opportunity
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 6–12 months
Shifts: 8- or 10-hour shifts, starting at 7:00 AM until cases are completed
Call: Possible call coverage; not guaranteed

Position Overview:
This role involves a full range of anesthesiology services for patients of all ages. Shifts begin at 7:00 AM and end once the day’s surgical cases are completed. Providers are incrementally released throughout the day as case volume decreases and when call coverage allows. Call may be required but is not guaranteed. The assignment requires collaboration with a team of Anesthesia MDs and CRNAs and involves supervision (4:1 model) and independent epidural placements.

Case Types:

Full spectrum of surgical procedures

OB and Pediatrics are key areas of focus

No liver or heart transplant cases (kidney transplants only)

Details:

Support Staff: Anesthesia physicians and CRNAs

Coverage Needed: 4 FTEs

Patient Population: All ages

EMR: Cerner

Skills Required: OB, supervision (4:1), proficiency in epidurals

Certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Board Certification: Required

Licensure: Active state license preferred, but temp licensing assistance available

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days

  • Ongoing for 3 months
  • No call
  • Special procedures: Full spectrum of surgical procedures. The only transplant procedures performed are Kidney. (No liver, heart, etc.) OB and peds are a focus
