Locum Pediatric or Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner needed in Massachusetts

Job description

Location: Western Massachusetts
Start: ASAP, Can start as soon as interview/offer complete with the owner.
End: Ongoing until they can find perm replacement
Rate: Hourly
Expenses: Mileage only, would like local NP
Certifications needed: MA License, MA DEA, MA CSR. Client will accept a Pediatric NP (PNP-BC) or a Family NP (FNP -BC)
Setting: Pediatric Clinic, but see's infants through 21 yrs old.
Setting: Clinic
Dates of Coverage/Schedule: They are needing 3 days per week, 6 hours per day (9:30-3:30 with a 1/2 hour lunch). Ideally, they would like the NP to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but they will take any 3 days of the week as long as one of the days is Friday
EMR System: They don't have an EMR system, it is paper charting (but they have an MA who helps the NP with every patient)
Support Staff: 1 Pediatrician/Owner, 1 Medical Assistant currently
Case Mix: All Pediatric patients up to age 21. Not complicated patients. Well and Sick Visits. The NP will administer vaccines when needed, but MA gets the vaccine ready. Medical Assistant does all of the entering of documents into the system. 15-20 minutes are typically spent per patient

The practice takes all the major insurance plans, and the NP ideally needs to be enrolled in most of the below, but if they are not enrolled in all of them--that's ok. Just ask them what insurance panels they are enrolled with currently:

MA Medicaid (PCC). PCC stands for Primary Care Clinics for MA Health members--fee for service Medicaid.

Cigna
United Health
Aetna
Wellsense (has to be MCO plan, not HCO)
Tufts (has to be MCO plan, not HCO)
