Family Practice
Work Details:
• Practice Setting: juvenile correctional setting
• Patient Age Group: male, adjudicated, juvenile delinquents who are placed with OCFS by Family Court
• Procedures: provide medical care services to youth in accordance with the regulatory standards in a juvenile correctional setting. assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, formulate and prescribe treatment plans. by means of interview, health history, physical examination and/or diagnostic testing in collaboration with a licensed physician or physicians In accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols that include specialty areas and are agreed upon in advance by you and the physician of record, your work may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures. Performing other duties deemed necessary for patient care is also assumed and required.
Requirements:
• State License(s): Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Nurse Practitioner of Family Health in New York State. Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.
• Years of Experience Req’d: 2
Credentialing Timeframe: 6-8 weeks
