Physician – Epic Support Consultant (MD/DO)

Job description

A large integrated health system in Florida is seeking a physician (MD/DO) to serve as an Epic EMR Support Consultant, helping improve provider workflows and optimize use of the system following a recent Epic transition. This full-time, non-clinical position is ideal for a physician with Epic expertise and a passion for improving user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians across clinics and hospitals with Epic usage
- Provide hands-on guidance for Epic workflows, provider orders, and documentation
- Support development of templates, order sets, and shortcut configurations
- Serve as a resource to the medical group, reporting to the CMO
- Optional clinical work available if the provider wants to maintain practice

Candidate Profile:
- MD or DO with Epic EMR experience
- Strong understanding of provider-side workflow optimization
- Epic Physician Builder certification preferred — client will invest in training if needed (travel to Epic HQ in WI covered)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support fellow providers
- Comfortable in a structured Monday–Friday, 8a–5p schedule with no call
