Family Practice

GP/ Family Physicians at Highly Supported Ottawa Clinic

Job description

What draws us to this Ottawa clinic isn’t just the strong infrastructure or the high patient volume; it’s also how seamlessly everything works. Yes, there is a 10,000 patient waitlist, and what really stands out even more to us is the genuine, supportive culture of the entire clinic. With 25 physicians on the team, it’s the kind of place where practitioners look out for each other, where mentorship happens naturally, and where your work fits into your life; not the other way around. You’ll walk into a full, rewarding practice from day one. This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking a collegial environment where the focus is clearly rooted in patient care. This is more than a place to work; it is a place to thrive, contribute, and feel genuinely supported in making a lasting impact.

The Opportunity
Waitlist of 10,000
Join a collaborative team with 3 Nurse Practitioners and over 12 MOAs
Transparent 24.5% overhead, which is the same as all 25 Physicians in the clinic
Low percentage considering the high level support available, allowing more focus to quality patient care
Mentorship from experienced physicians, including several GPs from the UK
Flexible work schedule
Strong administrative support including: front staff, billing optimization specialist, clinic manager, and a full range of clinic resources to allow you to focus on patient care
History of successful handling LMIA for GPs

Why Ottawa?

When the CloserMed team first came to Ottawa, we were struck by how easy it felt to live and work here. You get the benefits of a capital city, like great museums, festivals, and schools, but without the constant rush of bigger cities. People are kind, things just run smoothly, and there’s space to breathe. Life here feels… balanced.
As the capital city of Canada, there’s a large population of professionals and civil servants. The peaceful nature, calm neighbourhoods and city tends to attract a mature population, although it's quite mixed. It makes for a stable, respectful, and appreciative group of patients who really value continuity of care.

Housing is affordable
Safe and comfortable place to raise a family
Strong public school system, and a range of childcare options
City is surrounded by nature, trails, rivers, parks, and easy to escape to the outdoors
Always something to do: from skating on the Rideau Canal during winter to exploring farmers markets and festivals in the summer
Grounded pace of life, but access to Toronto (4 hours) and Montreal (2 hours) for an easy change of scenery or a weekend getaway

Whether it’s more time with your family or finding a place that feels more balanced, this Ottawa clinic has a lot to offer. You’ll be part of a team that’s supportive, grounded, and truly committed to making a difference.
