Family Practice Physician - Tacoma, WA Area

Job description

MD Family Practice Needed at Tacoma, WA area out-patient clinic. Must be able to start within 4 weeks after presentation.

Start Date: 8/4/25 ideally
Schedule: Monday-Friday. 8am-5pm 40hrs/week. No call.
Work Details:
· Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, most clinics have an onsite pediatrician and local health care administrator
· Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: FT. 40hrs/week.
· Patients per day: Will be scheduled to see up to 16 patients. May be less depending on cancellations, etc, but should be comfortable with higher volume and fast paced.
· Patient Population/Age: Newborns-Geriatrics. Provider should be comfortable working with all ages.
· Department Description: Community Health Center. Providers should have experience in these settings or express interest to work with vulnerable populations. They service migrants and refugees and have interpretative services available on site. OP ambulatory services, family medicine, walk-in/acute care services, chronic disease management. They may be caring for same day walk in patients.
· EMR: EPIC
· Special Procedures: Basic bread and butter procedures. Injections, IUD placement, minor wound care.
· Skills Required: Expected to hit ground running. Will be a 1 week ramp up with onsite orientation but will be expected to begin patient care by day 3.
Practice Setting:
• Outpatient ambulatory setting- Community Health Center

• Full time Providers Mon-Fri
• 3 month contract with the option to extend!
• Newborn-Geriatrics - Must be comfortable with all ages
