• ABOUT THE FACILITY – Louis A. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a general medical and

• The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine services, including patient
admissions, evaluations, treatments, perioperative care, and discharge planning. On-site.
POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully undergo a government background investigation.
• Education: graduated from an accredited medical school (either MD or DO)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or
American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
• License: a current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the
United States or the District of Columbia
• Experience: At least 12 months of experience
• Certificate: A current BLS and ACLS
• Must not be on the OIG Excluded list
- Comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine services
- Provide coverage for ICU, Telemetry, Med Surgical, Psych
- Provide discharge education & follow up instructions
