New Long-Term GI Opportunity in Massachusetts!

Job description

We’re working with a facility in Massachusetts seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to help clear out a backlog of colonoscopies starting this fall. This is a no-call, outpatient-focused role with a 4-day workweek—ideal for providers looking for a stable, long-term assignment with a manageable pace and great support.

Opportunity Highlights:

Start Date: On or around October 13, 2025

Contract Length: 1 year (Oct 2025 – Oct 2026)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8-hour days (No Friday work—non-negotiable due to ANE availability)

Setting: Outpatient endoscopy suite attached to hospital

Patient Load: 12–13 routine colonoscopies/day

Procedures: Screening colonoscopies only (no EGDs or advanced GI)

Support: Full clerical, nursing, and MA staff, plus on-site anesthesia

EMR: Cerner + G-Gastro

Call: None

COVID-19 Vaccine: Required per bylaws

Additional Info:

Looking for two 0.8 FTE GI physicians (one provider per schedule—no schedule piecing)

Providers will call patients with positive/cancerous findings (nursing will handle all other result calls)

Must be BE/BC in Gastroenterology

Willing to wait on MA licensure for clean candidates

Credentialing: ~90 days with license; up to 120 days without
