I wanted to share a new Gastroenterology locum tenens opportunity in Massachusetts offering a $350+/hr rate, a predictable weekday schedule, and a full year of coverage at a reputable hospital-based Endoscopy Suite.

Opportunity Highlights:

Location: Baystate Wing Hospital – Palmer, MA

Start Date: On or about October 13, 2025

Duration: 1-year LOA (Oct 2025 – Oct 2026)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday only, 8-hour days (Fridays not available)

Setting: Outpatient Endoscopy Suite attached to the hospital

Patient Volume: 12–13 Colonoscopies per day

Cases: Routine, health-screening Colonoscopies only

EMR: Cerner and G-Gastro

Call: None

Additional Details:

Board Eligible or Board Certified required

MA license not required at the time of submission (willing to wait for clean candidates)

COVID-19 vaccination required (per bylaws)

Full support staff onsite: Clerical, MA, Nursing, and Anesthesia coverage

Providers responsible for contacting patients with cancerous findings; nursing will handle the rest

No NP or PA coverage — seeking two 0.8 FTE physicians (one provider per 0.8 FTE; no schedule piecing)

Credentialing: ~90 days (up to 120 for non-licensed candidates)
