Outpatient GI Locums in MA | Parttime Coverage

Job description

Contract Length: 3-6 months
Shift Details: 8 hour day shifts, no weeknight or weekend call
Schedule: M-F
Work Details:
· Support staff: OR staff, Anesthesia staff
· Amount of coverage needed per month: 1-2 days/week
· Patients per day: 12-15 procedures/2-5 consults (When in the OR- they will average 12-15 procedures in an 8 hr shift. When in the clinic, they will average 15-20 visits per 8 hr shift)
· Patient population/age: adult patients only
· Department description: Full-scope GI - bread and butter GI
· EMR: Athena and meditech expanse
· This is an outpatient role – they do see inpatient here, but they have inpatient hospitalists that do the rounding
· Hospital bed size: 134
· Special procedures: Days will be spent in the OR doing procedures or in the clinic, the exact split of how many days in each is TBD and something that can be discussed in the interview! This is a procedure heavy role, and they must be able to do scopes. Would prefer ECRP - will take a provider that does not as well

Requirements:
· Board Certification: BE or BC
· License required: Strongly preferred
· DEA: Yes
Credentialing Timeframe: Around 60 days
