A cancer center at hospital is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage.

About the clinician's workday

This position includes both clinic duties and call coverage, along with some inpatient rounding. The clinic schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a half-day on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Physicians will see 1618 patients per day. Call is required after 5:00 PM and on weekends, with inpatient rounding one weekend per month. The facility uses Epic EMR and has two other hematology/oncology physicians on staff, along with a full support team. Board certification in medical oncology is required at a minimum, and an active Texas license is preferred. The credentialing process takes approximately 90 days.
