Job description

Neurocritical Care NP/PA Needed in Louisiana:
Start Date: Sept 2025
Contract Length: 3 months
Schedule: 3 night call shifts per week
Skills Required:
Patient admission, treatment, discharge, and documentation (H&P, progress notes, discharge summaries)
Conduct patient rounds and direct care per protocols
Wound care, minor surgical procedures, incision & drainage, dressing changes
Remove packing, drains, sutures, NG tubes, catheterization, venipuncture
Routine immunizations
Critical care: mechanical/noninvasive ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, sedation, bag-mask ventilation, laryngeal mask insertion
Familiarity with neurologic exams, stroke care, neuroimaging, and neurocritical emergencies
Interpret CXR, ECG, and CT head scans
Preferred:
Central line, arterial line insertion, lumbar puncture
Stroke pathway implementation and neurosurgical post-op care

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
Active LA License Required (we can help license)
