Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Ambulatory Neurosurgery
📍 Location: Boston, MA
🕒 Start Date: August | Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established Neurosurgery team in an ambulatory setting. This temporary role covers a maternity leave, with the potential to extend based on department needs.

🔍 Position Highlights:
Schedule: 3–4 shifts per week (Monday–Friday), 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Patient Volume: Varies by service; mostly follow-ups

Setting: Ambulatory clinic only – no inpatient or call

Start Date: August

Duration: 3 months, option to extend

Local candidates only (All-inclusive compensation – no travel or housing provided)

🩺 Role Responsibilities:
Manage in-basket communications including medication refills, patient questions, and phone calls

Assist during clinic days by seeing patients independently or in tandem for follow-up visits

Perform basic procedures such as suture and staple removal, wound assessments

Use Epic EMR system for documentation and care coordination

✅ Requirements:
Active state license in Massachusetts (required – no licensing support)

Board Certification (NP or PA)

Minimum 1 year of experience in Neurosurgery preferred

Strong clinical communication and EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)

Credentialing timeframe: Approx. 90 days

Travel: This is a local position; no travel or lodging reimbursement will be provided
