Locum Neurosurgeon Needed – Level I Trauma, High Surgical Volume – Arizona

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Northern Arizona. This position is ideal for trauma-driven surgeons seeking hands-on, high-acuity experience in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.

Opportunity Highlights:
• Level I Trauma Center – 317-bed hospital
• 100% adult trauma – zero elective volume
• Average 6 surgeries/day
• 24-hour beeper call
• Cerner EMR – remote orientation prior to start
• Trauma types: cranial, spinal, and complex polytrauma cases
• Full surgical team and advanced imaging resources available
• Credentialing streamlined for experienced trauma neurosurgeons

Schedule Needs:
• Block #1: August 18 – August 25 (7am to 7am)
• Block #2: October 13 – October 20 (7am to 7am)
• Block #2: November 25 – December 1 (7am to 7am)
• Additional dates anticipated for future scheduling

Candidate Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
• Active AZ license or IMLC-eligible (license assistance available)
• BLS and DEA required
• Must be trauma-seasoned with current surgical logs
• Must be comfortable operating independently in a busy trauma setting
