Locum Neurosurgeon Opportunity – 24-Hour Call Coverage – Georgia

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide coverage for 10-13 call shifts per month at a 500+ bed acute care hospital. This role involves hospital ER coverage, focusing on cranial, spine, and stroke cases.

Position Overview:
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
• Start Date: July 1, 2025
• Schedule: 10-13x 24-hour call shifts per month
• Practice Setting: Operating Room (OR), Hospital
• Procedures: Cranial, spine, stroke
• Support Staff: Two MDs in the group, no APP support
• EMR System: EPIC
• Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days (temps may be allowed)

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-call neurosurgical services for inpatient and emergency cases.
• Manage 10-12 patients per day for rounding and monitoring.
• Work alongside a dedicated support team, including RNs and PAs available during the day for assistance.
• Collaborate with the hospital’s neurosurgical team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.
