Locum Tenens Outpatient OB/GYN Needed

Job description

We’re seeking a California-licensed OB/GYN for a maternity leave coverage opportunity in southern CA. This outpatient-only role starts ASAP and will run for at least 3 months, with potential to extend—or even transition to a locums-to-perm position.

📅 Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM & 1:00 PM–5:00 PM

4 days/week required, with flexibility to expand to 5 days if desired

No call, no hospital rounding—clinic only

🩺 Procedures & Case Types Include:

IUD insertions/removals

Pap smears, pelvic exams, and well woman exams

Colposcopy, LEEP, cervical and endometrial biopsies

Hormone replacement therapy

Cystoscopy and hysteroscopy

Abscess/cyst drainage, epidermal cyst removal (e.g., Bartholin's gland)

Endometrial ablation

Transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound

Insertion/removal of subdermal contraceptives (e.g., Nexplanon)


📝 Ideal Candidate Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN

Active CA license

Comfortable performing the above procedures in an outpatient clinic setting
