OB Hospitalist/Laborist Locum Opportunity in Maryland

Aya Locums is working with a respected hospital in search of an experienced Board-Certified OB Hospitalist/Laborist to provide coverage for a 6–12 month assignment. This role is strictly inpatient—no outpatient or clinic responsibilities—and offers flexible scheduling with 12- or 24-hour shift options.

Position Highlights:
Laborist-Only Role: 100% inpatient responsibilities—no outpatient, prenatal, or postnatal care required.

Flexible Scheduling: 12- or 24-hour shifts available with a consistent monthly schedule.

Supportive Environment: Work alongside nurse midwives and a dedicated OB team in a 180-bed facility with Cerner EMR.

Volume: ~4–5 deliveries per 24-hour shift

Setting: OB Department, Hospital (Level II Trauma Center)

Support: Nurse midwives staffed to assist

EMR: Cerner

Hospital Size: 180 beds

Procedures: Laborist duties only (no clinic)

Requirements:
Board Certification: Required

State License: Active license required (not open to licensing)

DEA & CSR: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
