Locum Tenens OBGYN - Clinic + Call
Job description
A well-established facility in VA is seeking an experienced OBGYN physician for ongoing locum tenens coverage with potential to transition to a permanent role. Enjoy a mix of clinic and call work in a coastal location with a strong clinical team.
Opportunity Highlights:
Schedule:
Weekend 24-hour call: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with nightly call
Call Frequency: 2 weeks per month
Setting: Mix of clinic and call; inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Procedures: Must be comfortable performing C-sections; VBAC experience a big plus
Support: No APP support
Candidate Requirements:
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in OBGYN
Licensure: Active Virginia medical license required (willing to license)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
DEA: Must hold VA DEA
Experience: Open to all experience levels
Skills Required:
Proficient in C-sections
VBAC experience strongly preferred
Background: Clean professional record (dismissed cases acceptable); name clear required
Additional Info:
Patient Population: Adult women and newborns
Credentialing Timeline:
60 days with active VA license and DEA
90 days if licensing is needed
Travel & Lodging: Covered
