Peds Hospitalist/Inpatient Pain Management APP Needed in Boston, MA

Assignment Details

• Start Date: August 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks with option to extend
• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Shift Times:

* Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
* Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage primarily needed
• Preferred schedules include:
* Friday–Sunday
* Saturday–Monday nights
* Saturday and Sunday only
• Night shifts are the highest priority need
• No call required

Practice Setting

• Pediatric Inpatient Pain Service within the Department of Anesthesia
• Epic EMR
• Collaborative team environment including attending physicians and APRNs

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage pediatric patients with complex pain conditions, including post-operative pain, cancer-related pain, and sickle cell disease
• Care for patients receiving PCA therapy and epidural pain management
• Support critically ill patients and those undergoing sedative weaning
• No procedures required

Patient Volume

• Approximately 10–12 patients per shift
• Pediatric patient population

Requirements

• Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• Active Massachusetts license required
• PALS certification required
• DEA and CSR required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong pain management experience preferred
• Excellent assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Credentialing

• Approximately 60-day credentialing timeframe
• Providers must be prepared to complete credentialing immediately upon acceptance
• Massachusetts license required at submission
• Facility is not accepting candidates who require licensure or IMLC processing

Additional Requirements

• MMR and Varicella vaccinations required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
