Locums NP Needed in NY!

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a dedicated occupational health team in New York. This locums role will focus on prevention, wellness, and maintenance of health with an emphasis on workers' compensation cases. 1-2 Patients per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive clinical care including patient exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results
Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and medical treatments
Collaborate within a patient-centered medical home model, working closely with a physician
Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives

Job Requirements:

Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Minimum of 2 years of primary care experience
Previous experience in workers' compensation in New York
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure in NY
Current CPR (BLS) certification
Strong knowledge of clinical protocols, medical testing procedures, and EMR systems

Preferred:

Bilingual Spanish (in certain locations)
Experience working with pediatric patients
