Facility in Lewisburg, WV seeking PA-c Urgent Care locums coverage Rates: $130/hr Opportunity Highlights: Flexible Scheduling: Looking for full-time (12+ shifts/month) or part-time (6+ shifts/month) Diverse Caseload: See patients of all ages for typical urgent care presentations including cold/flu, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns, and perform procedures such as splinting, X-rays/EKGs, drawing blood, and I&Ds. High acuity cases are referred to the local ER. Independent Practice: Work autonomously with remote physician escalation available if needed. Sites are typically staffed with 1-3 providers per day, along with medical assistants and radiology technologists. EMR System: Epic for charting. Provider Requirements: Board Status: Board Certified PA State License: Active West Virginia PA license required to apply. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, OR Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine. Skills: Comfortable seeing patients of all ages. Comfortable with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care. Comfortable with suturing/wound care/I&Ds, splinting, X-rays/EKGs, drawing blood/IVs, and pediatrics. Availability: Minimum availability of 3 shifts per month consistently. Certifications: ACLS, BLS. Licenses: DEA and CSR licenses required. Background Checks: Upon offer acceptance, all agencies will be required to provide a drug screen and background check completed within the last 12 months. NPDB Self-Query Work Environment: Average Patient Volume: 3-4 patients per hour. Support Staff: Medical assistants and radiology technologists on-site.
