Facility near Pittsburgh, PA seeking Urgent Care locums coverage Rates: $170/hr Coverage is needed for 2 locations: Uniontown, PA and Belle Vernon, PA Key Responsibilities Provide direct care for patients with acute but non-life-threatening conditions (e.g., flu, minor burns, sprains, lacerations, rashes). Perform procedures including splinting, wound care, incision and drainage (I&D), EKG interpretation, and basic radiologic evaluations. Manage care for patients of all ages. Utilize EPIC EMR for clinical documentation. Refer high-acuity cases to local emergency departments. Rotate across multiple sites within a 30-mile radius. Qualifications Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. Active Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain). DEA registration. Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience. Proficiency with orthopedic procedures and minor emergency interventions. Certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Must maintain availability for at least 3 shifts per month. Practice Environment Average patient volume: 3–4 per hour. Staffed with medical assistants and radiologic technologists. On-site staffing typically includes 1–3 providers. Remote physician backup available when solo.
