Facility in multiple WV location seeking Urgent Care locums coverage Rates: $170/hr Locations: Princeton, WV | Fayetteville, WV, Lewisburg, WV | Elkis, WV | Charleston, WV Opportunity Highlights Flexible Schedule: Choose between full-time (12+ shifts/month) or part-time (6+ shifts/month) positions. Supportive Environment: Work with onsite medical assistants and rad techs, with remote physician support available for escalation. Variety of Cases: See a diverse range of urgent care cases, from cold and flu symptoms to minor injuries requiring splinting, wound care, X-rays, EKGs, and IVs. Epic EMR: Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for efficient charting. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages. Comfortably perform orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care. Manage typical urgent care assignments, referring high-acuity cases to the local ER. Work independently, seeing an average of 3-4 patients per hour. Potentially perform suturing, wound care, I&Ds, splinting, X-rays/EKGs, and drawing blood/IVs. Provider Requirements Education: MD or DO. Board Status: Board Certified. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, OR Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine. Licensure: Active West Virginia State License required to apply. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS. DEA & CSR: Active DEA and CSR licenses required. Availability: Minimum consistent availability of 3 shifts per month. Skills: Comfortable seeing patients of all ages. Comfortable with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care. Start Date Estimated start date: September 1, 2025. Temporary privileges are available, with a typical privileging period of 90 days for full privileges.
